A, B, C's. All of training goes down to ABC's. Antecedent, behavior, consequence. The dog hears the fridge open first. They're on their way. It doesn't matter if you said come or not. It doesn't matter if you called their name or not. They are on their way. They have learned that there is a probability of getting what they want, a very happy, happy consequence, if they go running to the fridge when they hear it open. Tater salad has got the best recall when he hears the cookie jar downstairs being rattled. It's unbelievable. He could be in the middle of anything. If he hears that cookie jar being rattled, antecedent, behavior, consequence, he is on it. So what we have to do is make this work for us in our training. We'll be right back.
