Okay, here's the steps to set discrimination. Take your little Altoids tin that you've washed, put our cookie inside, and with your puppy... Normally, you would just put the dog for sniffing the tin, but because she's further along, I don't really want to go backwards. So, let's just pretend like we've done that. Now, good. The idea is to get the dog sniffing the tin. She's not, because she knows there's only one. So, now right away, you want to add more tins, but keep food inside the tin. So, I have to put her back. I have to keep her away. So, I said we put out three tins total. Yes, good girl. I saw that. Good girl. All right. Again, it doesn't matter if she picks it up, but this dog does, so I'm not going to go backwards. And we'll put another one in the tin. Feed her right out of the tin and let her go. She can do this. Yay! When the dog can do that, you can either go up to more tins, like ten, with food, or you can just put it out empty. Good. When you do that, it probably helps to throw the food, so you have a chance to move it. When she comes back, if that was a lucky dog, maybe not. Go get it. All right. Put it over here. I just picked up the wrong one. I just ignore it. Good. Now, good girl, I'm actually going to switch tins. So now this tin has not had any food in it. Boy, there's a girl. And I'm not going to put any food. I'm just going to rub it up really good with my hands. Yeah. Good girl. So this one's no food. And I'm going to add a couple more. Various things. Got to chit-chat. Hold on. Hold on. Okay. Okay. Throw the food, so you have a chance to reset it. Okay. Good girl. Good. And at that point, you can get that as many as you want. Oh, I've got to keep her away though. All right. And that's how you get it. There's puppy scent discrimination. Now, what I would do at this point, this is where she's at now, I would make a point of getting a lot more tins, working a lot more shapes. Oh, unlucky dog. She hasn't gotten over to it yet. But she's persisting pretty nicely. I want to see. Good girl. Now I'm going to take these all up. Now I'm going to switch over to canning rings, which I've never had food in.
