The next topic I want to talk about are different kinds of boxes I use in training. Here we have two food boxes which are also called the dopamine boxes. The big one is for bigger dogs or adult dogs. And I've built a small one for puppies. That's, as you can see, not so high, so the dog can go easily inside. I use these boxes to make the puppies or adult dogs environmentally blind to teach them they can ignore what's next to them or what's around. Noises, loud noises, other people, other dogs, cars. That's how I use them. I can show you the difference in the boxes. One is a lot higher, one is smaller for the puppies. And can that only be used for sports or also for daily life with your dogs? No, you can use the the food or the dopamine boxes also for pet pe dogs or for fearful dogs to make them environmentally blind. You go different places. You just put the box outside, throw some food in it, and let the dog eat out of the box. Inside the box, it's dark and the dog has to focus only on eating and he has to ignore what's around him. The next box I want to show you is maybe one of the most important boxes I use. I call that a positioning box. As you can see, it's just just a small box made out of wood. But with this box, I do my technical exercises like sit down, stand still, barking in the blind, wherever you need a perfectly positioned dog. Can you show us how you apply this in your training? I just place the box on the ground and I just stand right next to the box when I do for example my healing exercises and then I let the dog figure out. He comes inside of the box perfectly positioning in a sit. He looks at me. I mark and I pay the dog. Or you let the dog come inside. You want to train the down and the dog only can lay down in a perfectly position. What I did with the box, I made the box um used usable in different ways. So this one can be put out and I can split the dog and I can split the box in two boxes as you can see here. So I can use the box in many different ways but I will do an extra video about that topic because that's a very big topic to talk about but that's good for now. So the next topic I want to talk about are the machines I use in my training. Let's start with

the big ball machine. As you can see, it's a hole that drops big balls because when you have a ball machine that drops only small balls like this one, that's a little bit Yeah. You know, um it could be possible when the ball drops that the dog fetches the ball and he swallows the ball. That's why Martin system invented the ball dropper with big balls. For example, I use it for barking in the blind when I have no helper. Or you can use it as a indirect reward for whatever exercise you can imagine. I will show you how this works. You just hang it somewhere. You have your remote in your pocket. Just press the button and the ball drops. The next machine is the opposite of the ball dropper. It's a ball machine that fires the ball up. As you can see inside, you can press this one down. You just lay a small ball inside and you can use that machine also for indirect reward. Or if you want to train the send out in IGP. So, I'm going to show you how this works. You have your remote in your hands. Watch I draw as I press the button what the ball does. It fires the ball up. The next and last machine I want to show you is not about balls. It's about food. As you can see, just can put food inside. Turn the machine on. place it on the ground and when you tap the button will make a a noise and then drop food. [Applause] I use the machine as indirect reward for shaping games or just for normal sit down, stand still or healing exercises. Is this usable for normal people or only in sports? This machine has multiple ways to train with. So, it's not only limited on sport people. It's also very usable for I say normal people that want to train their pets some tricks. So, it's a perfect machine to train with your dog. In the upcoming videos, I will show you how I use the different machines in my training on practical exercises. The next topic I want to talk about are different materials for the retrieving exercises. The first thing and most common is wood. Most of you know the wooden dumbbell from the IGP exercises, but I teach my dogs also to retrieve some soft plastic and some hard plastic. Why do that? Because in monuring we will have some different types and different materials to retrieve. For example, you go on a trial, you don't know what the topic will be and the judge gives you

this and your dog has to retrieve everything you tell him to. So that's why except for sorry except for glass and metal things. That's why I teach my dog also to retrieve some plastic and not only wood. Another big topic in IGP sports for example is the tracking. I do it a little bit different than classical tracking. I have this box which has a hole inside of the box that's nearly the size of my footprint. And as you can see, I stepped already inside. You can see the ground is a little bit disturbed here. And if you smell, you can smell the difference in the disturbed and the undisturbed ground. Here I teach my dog only one footstep. So I teach him to smell only one footstep and not a whole track like in classical tracking. How I start? I put a little bit of food inside the disturbed ground to make them the dog go to the footprint by himself. But very fast, I take the food away and let the dog figure it out by himself and only mark if the dog sniffs the disturbed ground. Why I have the box? Because I can do a direct reward on the track or I can do a indirect reward right next to the track. And then I can reward when the dog goes from picking up the food back to the track, I can reward that for sniffing the footprint. What are the sticks for? So this stick is like typically in IGP, we have a flag that marks the start of the track. And this is for the dog, the start of the track. Another thing why I put the stick inside the box is when you have a little bit hectic dog and he comes inside, it kind of stays on on the box so that the box stays exactly in the position where I made my footprint. So, the last and most important thing and training aid I have is find out what your dog likes the most. It's not like that that every dog loves the same ball, every dog loves the same food, or every dog can't be trained the same way. You got to see and feel what your dog likes the most and what brings you the best effort in training. So, ask your dog and find out what you need in training to get the best outcome.
