사람들은 자기 자신을 충분히 알지 못해서 반려견과 어떻게 진정으로 교감해야 하는지조차 모른다고 생각해요. 일리가 있는 말이에요. 교감하는 방법, 그건 전체적인 과정이니까요. 반려견과 교감하는 방법에 대해 많은 사람들이 유대감이 필요하다고 말하죠. 반려견과 유대감을 쌓고 교감하라는 문서를 많이 보거든요. 사람들은 어떻게 해야 하는지 방법을 몰라요. 하지만 그게 바로 핵심이에요. 훈련을 통해, 즐거운 시간을 보내며, 당신의 성격을 투영하고, 반려견이 어떤 모습으로 자라길 바라는지 그려보면서, 그 목표를 이루기 위해 모든 노력을 다하는 그 과정 자체가 이미 교감하는 것이고, 유대감을 쌓아가는 것이죠. 사람들에게 꼭 말해주고 싶은 건, 반려견과 탁 트인 들판에서 산책할 때의 경험이에요. 제 말은 사람들이 없는 숲속 같은 탁 트인 곳에서 산책하면 반려견에게 정말 많은 것을 배울 수 있다는 거예요. 산책만으로도 반려견을 보며 많은 걸 깨닫게 되죠. 바로 그렇게요. 그런 방식으로 유대감이 형성되는 거예요. 혼자서는 안 되죠. 그 과정을 통해 많은 것들이 만들어지는데, 반려견과 함께 산책만 해도 정말 많은 걸 배울 수 있어요. 예를 들어 제가 해준 말처럼 저는 제 반려견에게 완벽한 '다운(엎드려)'을 가르쳤어요. 마치 돌덩이처럼 바닥에 아주 빠르게 엎드리는 거죠. 네, 탁 트인 들판에서 함께 산책하면서 제가 원하는 걸 가르쳤고, 나중에 이 '다운'을 들판에서 '센드 어웨이(Send away)' 훈련을 위해 적용했어요. '센드 어웨이'가 무엇인지 다들 아시죠? 그럼요, 정리하자면 '센드 어웨이'는 아주 큰 훈련 과제 중 하나죠. IGP 훈련에서 반려견을 멀리 보낸 뒤 거의 끝 지점에서 '다운' 명령을 내려야 하잖아요. 그러면 즉시 그 자세를 취해야 하죠. 그래서 올바른 방법으로 '다운'을 가르치는 게 정말 중요해요. 예를 들어, 4주 전쯤에 제가 반려견과 탁 트인 들판에서 산책하고 있었을 때였어요. 들판을 뛰어다니며 산책하고 있었는데, 녀석이 스스로 '다운'을 하더라고요. 바닥에 있었고 그가 저를 쳐다봤을 때 물론 저는 그가 이미 엎드린 후에 명령을 내렸죠. 네, 엎드리기요. 그러고 나서 그들이 이렇게 하면 '예'라고 하고 그가 저에게, 저에게, 음, 저에게 오면 저는 그에게 공을 줍니다. 이것이 제가 개에게 엎드리기(down)를 가르쳤던 방식입니다.
people don't know themselves well enough to even know how to really connect with their dog i think that's a valid point how to connect because it is holistic how to connect with a dog a lot of people say you need a bond i see a lot of documents say bond with your dog connect people don't know how like what do they do but that's the thing through the work through having fun putting in your personality the things that you envision your dog to become and you're doing everything to achieve that that is already connecting that is already building a bond what i want to tell to the people when you go walking with your dog in open field what i mean open field when you go walking in the forest yeah not with people around you can learn so much from your dog just with walking yeah just by walking you see the things that yeah yeah and this this on that way you create a bond on that way not alone on that way it's a lot of things that you create about but you can you can learn so much from your dog when you go just walking with him example i tell you i learned my i learned my dog perfectly down it's like a stone on the ground very fast with the elf books on the ground yeah i go walking with him in open field and what i want and later this i learned him in open field the down for descending for the house yeah for descending and this when you send people understand what it is yeah so i think so uh let's just uh summarize that so the send away is a big exercise now gp you send your dog away and then almost at the end you have to give him a down command and immediately he has to go into position so this when you learn the down on the on the right way on the good way example i'll tell you i go walking with him in open field and it was about four weeks ago there's been walking and he running around in open field yeah and he do this the down from himself on the ground and he looked to me of course i give a command after he already done yeah plants and then they do this yes and he come to my to my to my um to my to me too and i give him a ball this is the thing who i learned the down for the dog
